ARKANSAS
RIVERS ASSOCIATION
The Arkansas Rivers
Association is being formed to provide a way
for those who love the beautiful rivers and
streams of our state to get involved in
helping to preserve their beauty and quality
for generations to come. Through the
individual efforts and contributions of our
members and all who wish to help, we hope to
raise and maintain the public awareness of
the work needed to keep our rivers and
streams healthy and vibrant. It is our hope
that through the cooperation
of our citizens, and our Federal,
State, and local governments that we can
create a lasting legacy of “Stream Friendly”
management and stewardship that will ensure
their lasting beauty and vitality.
Our organization
will be initially divided into
four regions with each chapter
having local officers. Each chapter
will work within their region to
help clean up and monitor the rivers
and streams in their area, recruit
members, organize fundraisers, and
report to our state office any
“Stream Alerts” that need to be
brought to our attention for
immediate action.
